Quick answers
Installing TillOwn
After you buy, Lemon Squeezy emails your licence key and the download for Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) and Windows. Unzip it, open TillOwn and type in the licence key. The till needs the internet to activate. After that, it runs offline.
Moving to a new computer
On the old computer, go to Till settings › Move licence. This frees your licence. Then activate TillOwn on the new computer with the same key. Your menu, sales and settings stay on the old computer and don't move with the licence. If you'd like help moving them, email us first.
Adding an iPad or Android tablet as a second till
- On the main till (Mac or Windows), open Till settings › ADD TILL and turn on ALLOW SECOND TILLS.
- Open TillOwn on the tablet and scan the code. If the tablet has no camera, type the address and 6-digit code that ADD TILL shows.
- The tablet and the main till must be on the same Wi-Fi. On Windows, allow TillOwn through the firewall when Windows asks.
If a tablet says MAIN TILL NOT REACHABLE, check that TillOwn is open on the main till and that both are on the same Wi-Fi. The tablet carries on by itself once it reconnects.
The tablet demo till
The tablet app's TRY THE DEMO TILL button opens a sample bar so you can look around without a main till. The demo staff member is Alex (PIN 1111) and the manager PIN is 1234. Nothing in the demo is saved.
The floor pad
Turn it on under Till settings › Floor pad, then open the address it shows on a phone or tablet on the shop's Wi-Fi. New pad orders flash on the main till next to TAP TO SERVE.
